Looks like the team worked on the long ball during the bye week. This is the most I've seen NU throw down field successfully in a long time. It definitely looked like Baz was being more patient in the pocket -- waiting for things to develop on the longer pass patterns. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. We will need the long ball later in the season to open up those running lanes for Sutton.

On a different note, I am very confident going into Purdue next week. Iowa made them look awful this week. I don't think they will be able to stop us at all. As of last week, their pass defense was ranked 11th in the Big Ten. Baz should be able to tear them apart. Tiller's program is reeling, while we are on an emotional high coming off the big win. Let's see some senior leadership to sustain the momentum.

A win at Purdue and Illinois leaves us only one win shy of a bowl game. Michigan under the lights on homecoming is a perfect storm. I also wouldn't count us out of the Iowa game at home on Senior day.

Go Cats!
