Speaking of Barry, we saw one of the oddest things I've ever seen after the game today. We're standing there in the East Lot enjoying some post-game cheer when all of a sudden Barry Alvarez, an older couple, and a priest, all being escorted by two police officers (couldn't tell whether they were Evanston or DPS) walk up to the Cadillac in the row behind us load up and get in. The elderly gentleman drove, with Barry in the passenger seat and the older lady and the priest in the back.

We had all sorts of theories (the leading one was that the elderly couple were big Chicago-area Wisconsin boosters or just personal friends and Barry was having dinner with them before heading back to Madison), but I have to say that it's the first time I have ever heard of, much less seen, the opposing coach leaving the stadium by wading through a lot filled with tailgaters. Very odd indeed.
