[NU Sports] Terps go down...again

As an NU fan, and one who fondly remembers Ron Vanderlinden, it was good to see Maryland and Ralph Friedgen fall to NCSU this afternoon.  Thats two straight years of 5-6 and missing a bowl game for Friedgen, after three very good years (31-8 his first three years).  It always felt like Friedgen 'stole' the glory with the players Vandy recruited.  Now that it's his own recruits in the system (years 4 and 5 of the Friedgen era), the results are turning back to luke-warm, or worse.
 
Vandy is currently coaching the LB's at Penn State.  The 92-96 defenses he coached at NU ought to be sufficient to land him another DC spot (if he wanted it).  Does anybody know if he has sought out a DC role, or is he waiting for Paterno to move on (maybe another decade ?)
