Oops - forgot to send out my picks when I made the
week 13 slate -- anyone else who forgot still has 45
minutes before kickoff of the Backyard Brawl.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

COLLEGE
=======
Big Ten
-------
Wisconsin ------ 56
Hawaii --------- 42
C: Bucky began the year with a wild shootout - had a
midway mark scorefest in Evanston and closes with a
track meet in the Islands. NU and MSU know how
dangerous a trip to Hawaii can be, but with no Chang
and Owens, the running game of Calhoun is enough. How
many of Bo Ryan's basketball scores will top a few of
Barry's games this year?

National
--------
Pittsburgh ----- 13
West Virginia -- 38
C: The Mountaineers move closer to a BCS berth
(why?!?) while another of Notre Dame's "tough"
schedule opponents ends their season NOT headed to a
bowl.

Texas ---------- 45
Texas A&M ------ 10
C: Oh how I wish the Aggies would rally in Aggieland
for Franchione ... but no one likes the SOB and Vince
Young seems to thrive on pressure. No Hook'em choke
here ... that was before Vince.

Nebraska ------- 20
Colorado ------- 30
C: Barnett keeps racking up the North division titles
and he gets to be Texas' sacrificial lamb to the BCS
computer gods in Houston this year. Though I will say
the "dream" bowl scenario of the NU sports list that
has the Cats vs. Barnett in the Alamo Bowl is highly
unlikely, it would be a lot of fun.:)

Florida St. ---- 13
Florida -------- 17
C: Urban Meyer knows how to keep Gator fans happy -
beat the Vols, Dawgs and Noles in your first season.
Citrus here we come?

Georgia -------- 13
Georgia Tech --- 19
C: The Dawgs are limping while the Jackets are flying
high off the Cane upset -- I know UGa's dominated here
lately (and I always keep picking GaTech like Charlie
Brown - but one of these days, Lucy will forget to
pull the football for UGa), but times change.

Arkansas ------- 26
LSU ------------ 34
C: Houston Nutt throws a scare into the Bayou Bengals,
but the Tigers can head to the Georgia Dome next week
to face the Dawgs.

Arizona -------- 28
Arizona St. ---- 33
C: I'm starting to find out about the Cactus Rivalry
now that I'm a Phoenician, and it's a weird series
with a lot of upsets. I'm convinced the Devils are the
Sparty of the west (great Septembers followed by a
major collapse), but the Pac 10 needs some bowl
eligible teams and they want revenge on Stoops Jr.
from last year's upset.

Virginia ------- 10
Miami ---------- 37
C: Someone's not happy about last week's upset.

Notre Dame ----- 31
Stanford ------- 16
C: I'm torn. One one hand, I want the Irish to be
exposed as posers who have looked unimpressive (Navy,
Syracuse, etc.) against a pathetically weak schedule
and not go to the BCS ... on the other hand, I'd love
to see their dream season die in the desert with
another Fiesta Bowl pasting at the hands of OSU (this
time the *Ohio* State University) and the Big Ten. But
Stanford makes the call easy as the Cardinal have quit
on their
season. Make that yet another team on that super
"tough"
Irish schedule NOT going to a bowl!

Gobble gobble!
GO CATS!!!
