I think we may already be in good shape on the QB front. Bacher was
shaky in his first outing (Ohio, I think?), but it looks to me like the
basic elements are there.
Remember, it took Basenez a long time to become the 2005-spec Basenez,
which included a bad sophmore year slump.
Maybe Bacher won't ever be as good as Baz was this year, but there's
every chance his learning curve won't be as steep. More importantly, I
would guess that the 2006 team will be better overall than what Baz had
to work with his first year.

No doubt. I'm sure the coaches are hugely relieved/excited to have
those extra practices this year. It should *everyone* get better next
year, but is especially welcome when you know you'll be faced with
grooming a new QB.
