Two answers re: the popularity of Ohio State:

1) In a scientific poll, Ohio State was ranked the #2 most popular
college football team last year and has ranked in the top ten each of
the years this poll was conducted. Miami ranked #7 in 2003 and didn't
fall in the top 10 in any other year.

See the following links:

http://www.harrisinteractive.com/harris_poll/index.asp?PID=519
(See table 3, ranking Ohio State #2 and in the top 10 every other year,
while Miami was not ranked.)

http://www.harrisinteractive.com/harris_poll/index.asp?PID=415
(See table 2, ranking Miami #7 in 2003 only.)

2) I'm by no means an apologist for Ohio State, nor much of a fan
myself, however, my mother, sister, brother-in-law, and numerous
cousins hold degrees from Ohio State and none of them is a moron.

P.S. I take no personal offense from your post, however. I take
everything on this list with a sense of humor, as I hope others have
interpreted some of my posts over the years.
