For those of you who feel such joy, perhaps you might consider sharing your 
joy in the form of an e-mail to Derrick Fox, the President/CEO of the Alamo 
Bowl, and tell him how much joy you will spread in San Antonio if Northwestern is 
selected for the Alamo Bowl. Derrick Fox can be reached at:

Your first e-mail will be bounced back by the Alamo Bowl's spam screening 
software. Send a reply to this one and your original e-mail will get through to 
Mr. Fox. I got a quick response from Mr. Fox. He wrote, "The Wildcats are a 
team in the mix, so let’s stay in touch." I had written him about all the eager 
Northwestern alumni in nearby Austin.

And if you have any Northwestern friends who are feeling this joy, maybe you 
can get them to write Derrick Fox as well. After sharing all this joy, then 
maybe you won't have time to feel sorry for the rest of us.
