[NU Sports] when will we know?

Yeah - too bad Vandy hadn't won the week before. An
NU-Vandy game in Nashville would be a lot of fun and
could be the highest combined SAT score bowl in
history!:)

As for the Vols - what the ?!?!? After preseason #2 or
so, to zilch? Yikes! Again - looking back at Notre
Dame's "tough" schedule now, we see that USC and
Michigan are the only sure bowl teams on the slate.
How are they ranked ahead of OSU again?

One question though - would we get an at-large team?
Isn't the Music City sixth on the SEC bowl list? Last
year the SEC had six teams and the Music City got
Alabama while the Independence and Houston went
at-large. With Bama getting trashed by Auburn, it
doesn't look like the SEC will get a second at-large
bid unless UGa edges LSU in the title game - and even
then it's tough to see it.

That could be bad news for whoever faces the SEC in
Nashville, because they only have six bowl teams, but
LSU, Auburn, Bama, UGa, Florida and the Gamecocks are
about as talented a six-pack as you'll see a
conference field in bowls. All six could be playing on
New Year's Day (well, Jan. 2 this year) -- right now
with injuries and all, Bama would appear to be #6 in
the order (or Florida if they lose to FSU) and either
one would be tough to beat in Nashville.

Yeah - I imagine if they could get a Wisky-Florida
Citrus game (since UGa played Bucky in Tampa last
year), they'd have no trouble selling tickets.:)

I'd love to see it ... but I doubt we leap ahead of
Iowa. Oh well, we can hope!!! We did beat 'em and they
looked awfully tough down the stretch winning at
Madison and destroying Minny.

Whatever happens - we've still got one game left of
Baz and McGarrigle!
