[NU Sports] OSU game highlighted Randy Walker's shortcomings

I don't think it is unrealistic to expect NU to be challenging for the
Big Ten championship without diluting the academic standards and going
to a major bowl game every year. It is unrealistic to expect that to
happen with Randy Walker.
How is this for an idea? Fire Walker make Murphy the head coach and AD,
add to his paycheck whatever Walker is getting and let him hire whatever
assistants he wants. Murphy has more charisma and probably recruiting
ability than Walker will ever have. Murphy would pprobably think it is
a lousy idea but what the heck look at Alvarez's success.
