Walker benefited from the people that Gary had recruited. Barnett's
record reflects a couple of things. First, NU's record ws so bad that I
firmly believe that the reason Penn State came into the Big Ten was in
the expectation that NU would drop out of the Big Ten. Barnett saved us
from that. Working for Rick Taylor couldn't have been a bed of roses so
given the opportunity to go back to Colorado, he took it. By the way,
Walker managed to drive out a number of very good players that Barnett
hd recruited. A recruiter and motivator, Walker isn't and you need both
to be succesful.
