[NU Sports] Coach Dunbar leaving?

This is an example of where NU "IS" at a disadvantage compared to OSU and
UoM. Our program doesn't generate the sort of dollars that allow head
coaches to pay assistant coaches at least as well as they would get paid to
be head coaches somewhere else. Carr was an assistant coach at UoM for
fifteen years before succeeding Moeller. Moeller spent about the same
amount of time as an assistant coach before succeeding Bo.
Pay is only part of the issue, however. Those coaches who have aspirations
to become head coach some day have two choices. They succeed the coach they
are working for, or they take a head coaching job somewhere else.
Barring some repercussions from the Wheeler settlement, Walker has certainly
delivered the sort of results this year that should earn him a contract
extension. So Dunbar's opportunities to be a head coach here have
diminished. If he really wants to be a head coach, I'm not surprised his
name is coming up in discussions.

Could be truthful or an intentional avoidance of the question to help jack
up his current compensation _______________________________________________
