[NU Sports] OSU game highlighted Randy Walker's shortcomings

How come so many of the players love him?

easily have been  at 4-7 some of the bowl years 

There are easily a hundred games in football every year that are decided on
luck. A lucky bounce on an On-side kick, the "miraculous reception," you don't
tear down a program because they get a few lucky breaks, but I hate to tell you
that teams make their own "luck." NU does things like that under Walker [and did
under GB] and didn't under some of the coaches in the 70's and 80's.

The Bend, don't break philosophy worked fine this year until dOSU. Those calling
for Colby's head are the same one's who were down on Dunbar when Baz was missing
3 starting WR's due to injury. 

Hot flash guys, Colby lost his top free safety, his top DE, and maybe his top CB
to injuries, 2 right before the season started. I talked with him right after
the Kenosha scrimmage [and after one of the sessions] and he was pulling his
hair out because he kinda knew he didn't have the hosses left in the stable. 

Had Sutton not stepped up early, you guys would be griping about Dunbar too,
because when Roberson went down along with Jordan, NU wouldn't have had a
running game early either. 

Anyway, leave the Defense alone, they're going to be just fine next year.
