With ya there - I'd LOVE to see a Cats win to cap a
season for the holidays!:)

Agreed there - I was pleasantly surprised by the Motor
City Bowl. Very easy to drive to the stadium, find
parking and walk around by the new stadiums downtown
(and the casino). And Ford Field is **THE** best
indoor stadium in the country, IMO. It doesn't feel
like a dome -- more like a very large mall.:)

Still, I don't think we want to go back to Detroit so
soon.

I'd also chime in for the defense of San Antonio from
Alan's e-mail. Yes, I realize our memories there
aren't happy (so create new ones - anything's better
than 66-17) ... but as far as the bowl, I'd put the
Alamo at the tops of my non-BCS list. I'd much rather
be in San Antonio than mid-Florida -- less humidity,
more culture, mountains, the Riverwalk, easier to get
around, etc. I though the Alamo Bowl was first-class
all the way. As Bob knows, I'm not much for Texas, but
I'd visit San Antonio again any year for a
bowl(Houston, OTOH, I've had my fill of for a
lifetime:) ).

It's not Pasadena, but then again, nothing else is the
Granddaddy! And not all bowls can have the weather of
San Diego or Phoenix this time of year (so kudos for
the Big Ten dropping the Sun and adding Phoenix next
year - now maybe we need to lock in the Poinsettia ...
or steal a spot in the Holiday ... so San Diego
replaces Nashville next year).

I hear it's the Athens of the South.:) Naw, I have
relatives who live in Nashville and it's a very nice
place. I think it'd be a great bowl destination -
especially now that it's not summer and not as humid.

Amen to that! Now let's roll into a bowl by beating
the Illini!!!
