I think most of us on this List are among the more loyal NU fans around and
I wonder how much of that game we watched. I packed it in at 41-7 to go
rake leaves which may lead some to question my dedication but it starts to
get too painful at some point.

The SEC Games: Across the board these were the highlight of the day. I
love LSU so the win at Alabama was one to savor. OT is definitely exciting
but I think I still prefer ties. Those two defenses are incredibly quick
and I would love to see that LSU line take on some of the Big Ten front
fives. An appeal for more Big Ten - SEC match-ups please!

Auburn - Georgia was even better (thank you TIVO) and one Auburn fans will
recall for a long time. It had an ending somewhat similar to Georgia's win
over Florida in the early 80's with a remarkable 62 yard pitch and catch on
4th and Ten. It had me thinking about how every school suffers their "Penn
States" once or twice a season. It is unusual to roll through 11-12-13
games undefeated without getting a break or two.

I am now a Spurrier fan after years of decrying him as pompous and evil.
His win at Tennessee was remarkable but this one was probably more
satisfying for him. I can also relate to those South Carolina fans who have
got to be loving this stretch of good football after so many down years.

Finally, down 41-10 in the 3rd quarter, Vandy almost staged a miracle
comeback. The poor Commodores will miss Bowling again after such a hopeful
start. Maybe they can surprise Tennessee to salvage the season.

Go Fresno State!
