[NU Sports] Special Teams

We really lost the game today early with poor special teams play (and
superior OSU special teams play).

Perhaps the key stat of the game was that OSU scored 28 points in the
first half averaging just 34 yards of offense per touchdown drive.
That includes drives of 45, 29, 0, and 63 yards. Heck, the D wasn't
terrible today. They gave up a lot of points, yes, but the special
teams didn't really give them as much of a chance as they needed to
keep the Bucks out of the endzone.

Since the Michigan State game, I've believed that the key to beating us
is rushing the ball. Well, everyone else has figured that out, too.
Michigan, Iowa (almost), and Ohio State, today, in a big way. OSU
only attempted 15 passes for 105 yards, had over 300 yards of rushing.

Our opening drive, however, was a thing of beauty. And Tyrell had some
nice plays early. Things went downhill after that.

I think we'll fare better against the Illini.
