And on to the second ...

- No flag? C'mon ref! Sheesh - NOT liking these
officials already. That's two questionable non-calls
against us in the Shoe. But even worse, it's another
3-and-out.

- Blocked punt - again, the kicking game is killing
us. We never had a chance with the poor blocking up
front. 21-7 Buckeyes.

- Kinda cool that the ABC announcers are even calling
him "Baz" - ya gotta love this kid.

- The OSU blitz is working every time - Another 3rd
and long. Another drive stalled. Another punt.

- First time all day OSU will have taken a snap in
THEIR territory and it's still only around the 45.
Ugh.

- Hey, a third down stop! Well, a dropped pass, but
still, WOOHOO!!!

- That fumble by Baz hurts - just after we were
getting some rhythm back with Baz' zip pass and
Sutton's nice cut. Another 3rd and long. Another drive
stalled. Another punt.

- NICE punt coverage by NU this time. About time we
start them deep - now we just need a turnover.

- Big pick by Cole to halt an OSU drive that was just
steamrolling down the field. Let's GO O!!!

- Why aren't we going over the middle with the passes
again? That worked well the first drive.

- FINALLY a friggin flag! OSU's been on our backs all
day and they won't (and shouldn't) stop until the refs
call it. FINALLY! Sheesh!

- Nice to see Sutton involved heavily in today's
gameplan ... now, where's our hero-of-last-week Mr.
Lane?

- Musburger: "Schlegel might have stepped offsides."
Gee, ya think Brent? He was only in the backfield
before the snap! Go hit the bars in Lincoln,
not-so-young man!:)

- Bad throw by Baz for the pick - I like going over
the middle and LOVE the effort by Lane to almost get
it back but man, that turnover just KILLS our chance
to get back in this game before half.

- NOW the replay official decides to get involved and
wake up? Where were you at the start of the game?!

- Great stat by ABC of the replay reversals ... hmm
40% in the Big Ten to lead the BCS leagues. Guess
JoePa and Lloyd Carr were right all those years about
conference refs just plain ole' getting it wrong.

- Wells may get big yardage today to make the Sutton
snub by OSU look better. But most RBs would look good
today behind that OSU line - they're getting 5 yards
up the gut before being touched.

- OSU just running over us again on the next drive.
Our chance to make it 21-14 at the half after the
turnover is now 28-7. We gotta capitalize on those
chances, Cats!

- Key drop by Fields to force yet another punt.

Well, it started out so well, but the big Buckeye edge
in the kicking game, OSU's pounding running game and
NU's string of 3-and-outs on offense have just turned
this game into a blowout at the half - 28-7 OSU.

Side note - still not sure how the Badgers win the
4-way tie scenario that the folks at ESPN and ABC keep
talking about ... of the four, PSU will tie for the
best overall mark, they haven't been to the Rose Bowl
the longest and beat everyone head-to-head except
Michigan. Seems to me the only way PSU loses this is a
2-way tie with the Wolverines.

This one could get ugly unless we find something to
stop their run and get our offense going at the half.
