Our games against Penn State in 1995 and 1996 were also ABC regional
telecasts.  The last time we had a game on national network television
(other than bowl games) was the NBC telecast of NU vs. Notre Dame in 1995.

That '95 win against ND was Barnett's coming out party, but nobody paid
attention.  The sporting world's reaction was that ND had blown an early
season game against what should have been a cupcake.  That was particularly
confirmed when we lost the next week to Walker's Miami team.  A couple of
easy wins at Air Force and Indiana didn't open any eyes.  But then came that
incredible gritty convincing 19-13 win over Michigan in Ann Arbor on a
miserably wonderful overcast cold wet day.  The world took notice.  The Cats
were back!  We went on to run the table in the BT.  Hard to believe it was
10 years ago.
