[NU Sports] genius or luck? (offlist)

Carl,
I agree. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.
I also agree, this team has heart and really believes. When they
demonstrate that, they are a joy to behold.
What is baffling is why they spent the whole game digging themselves a hole
that they then miraculously jumped out of?
I haven't yet been able to figure that out.
But I have to agree with you that whatever RW is doing or not doing, it is
getting results in a way that I never could have predicted. So yes, he
certainly deserves credit. I'm not sure what specifically he deserves
credit for, but whatever "it" is, it is working.
Jeff

after further review (of the end of the game), I must say we were real
lucky to get the win. 2 dumb penalties, 2 dropped passes and a missed FG
gave the CATS!! just enough. Jim Rome and others are saying that Iowa
gave the game away. Maybe, although that onside kick was priceless.

Luck comes to those who are prepared for it. A defeated team would have
given up. I have to give RW credit for that, the guys just don't give up.
