My eight-month old daughter raised her record to 5-0 after Saturday's win.
The two games we went to where we got sitters (PSU and Michigan) were
losses. I think we've learned our lesson. She even has a road win (Purdue)
to her credit.
After the initial onslaught our defense picked it up and played a better
game but the total yardage allowed was in line with every game this season
except Ohio. That's pretty ugly. It sure is nice to have the ball coming
out of the second half even at the expense of allowing the early touchdown.
We were graced by some nice Iowa fans in our section (126) but often it just
depends on who you have around you at a given game as to which team is more
obnoxious. I always think Michigan fans are the worst visitors and Ohio
State the least gracious hosts.
Went out for a victory dinner Saturday and sat next to Jonathan Fields who
was having dinner with 6 Iowa fans from Des Moines. We talked about the
game. He is pretty beaten up at this point in the season and is having
trouble with his legs. Cannot find the "extra gear".
After learning about the significance of "March of the Steel Men" from this
board last year I made to point it out to everyone in our section. We
applauded the performance and also the "retiring" senior class as they were
introduced.
On to the Horseshoe.
