Sorry my DVD doesn't travel but there were some great late plays. After
Tyrell Sutton shook of a tackler he scored on a 1-yard run to bring the
Wildcats to within six with 2:10 remaining, Reggie McPherson recovered the onside
kick at the Iowa 47. That was one of the best onside kicks I have ever seen.
Maybe the biggest play was on second-and-2 at the 24, Basanez ran for 6 and
Iowa committed a personal foul, putting the ball on the 9. Iowa played dirty
all day and that penalty along with a hold on the last series made a big
difference. The winner was when Ross Lane caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from
Brett Basanez with 42 seconds. You were not alone in your lack of faith, lots of
NU fans bailed in the rain and fog, the announcers made it clear that they
were not impressed with the Wildcat faithful.
