[NU Sports] 2006 schedule

   If anyone missed it, it looks like the NCAA is allowing a 12th game in 
2006 and 2007 (gasp!).  This was reported last week in our local paper, that 
announced the newly approved 12th game would allow Penn St. to get Temple back on 
their schedule. (yawn...)  Speaking of which, Temple will stay an independant 
for this season only, as they will join the MAC in 2006.  Could you imagine,  
NU vs. Temple in Detroit in December?  
   The 12th game means that 2 year series vs. Nevada is "on".  I've commented 
before, this helps Nevada much more than it helps us.  With mid-majors, we 
need 2 games in Evanston, one in their house, or 1 game at NU only.  My 
opinion...
