Lacrosse is a wonderful game that until recently had little exposure west of
the Atlantic seaboard. It is now the fastest growing sport in America,
especially at the high school and under level. It is also the fastest growing
intercollegiate women's sport, but unfortunately due to Title IX, you won't see
much growth on the men's side. Sports Illustrated had a very good story ont
the growth of the game in an issue a couple of weeks back and I recommend it to
anyone interested. CSTV has broadcast several women's games this year
including the NU-OSU game- I saw most of the second half of that one- and has
plans to broadcast the final game on Sunday afternoon which will hopefully
feature the Cats against Duke.
