[NU Sports] Flip-Flop Flap Featured on NBC Nightly News

The "flap" started when Kelly Amonte-Hiller mentioned the fund raiser on the
Today Show. Of course NBC ran with the story, forcing NU to get the Trib to put
out something about the kids' parent's reaction.
A lot of papers picked up the Trib story, then the columnists cut in and that
was all she wrote.
Anyway, the more publicity the girls get for their Flip-Flop Auction the better.
Has anyone placed a bid yet?

The Georgia gymnastics team is arguably the most formally dressed, but I still
see flip-flops:

The UCLA water polo team cropped their feet out of the picture; I'll take that
as an admission of guilt. You decide:

Duke golf: Sandals, but no flip flops.

And as already mentioned below, the Michigan softball team wore shorts and
tennis shoes. http://www.mgoblue.com/
