[NU Sports] Highest Ranked Team NU has beaten in Bball

Based on the Daily Herald article we have never beaten a team ranked number one in 12 attempts.

I know we beat Magic and the Spartans in 1979.  Is that the highest ranked team we have ever beaten and if so what was their ranking?

We have tickets and are going to the Fast Break Club reception before the game.

I was at last years Ill-noise game, but I was also at the Ill-noise game where it took us 15 minutes to score a single point.  I am hopeful, but not optimistic.  I was very optimistic after last years flashes of brilliance, but so far(excluding Indiana) they are a 8th or 9th place big ten team.
