We were close. If we had beaten 4 mediocre teams (New Mex St, Utah St, Penn State and Ohio State) we'd be 16-8 with a good chance at 19 wins with a 1st round victory in the Big 10 Tournament. That would probably get us in to the NCAAs. It still seems more difficult to build a good football program than a good basketball program.
