That's far easier to say than achieve.  

The key is relevance.  Your political and religious views have no 
relevance, political or religious news with NU connections to it might 
occasionally have some relevance, such as if a former NU player runs 
for Congress or a prominent NU alum runs for President.   

I haven't posted the charter for this list in a while, it does state that
non-sports NU news is relevant (in moderation).

The comment about the band at the Sun Bowl struck me as unnecessary and
a bit of a cheap shot, but I thought the note about prayers before games 
at SEC schools was interesting, that's not something you observe watching 
the games on TV.
