Big-time choke by Big Blue tonight. Wild ending!

Those were some of the worst officials I've seen in a
bowl game in awhile -- they may need to only have
BCS-league crews working BCS-league bowl games from
now on, as these guys were clearly out of their
element all night. They looked dazed at the start when
I saw about 5-10 minutes and by the time I tuned in
for the fourth, they were completely confused. From
the replay booth to the field crew - just lost out
there. Too bad, because it was a pretty good game but
will be tainted by the officiating. And what a wild
finish afterwards - Michigan almost pulled it out in
spite of themselves with a bizarre "Music City
Miracle" play that might have worked with one more
lateral back to a faster wideout.

Still, Michigan made it easy, giving away that big
lead in the fourth. Lloyd might be feeling some heat
in Ann Arbor this off season. 7-5 years are one thing,
but horrible records against OSU's Tressel and in bowl
games are not gonna cut it.

So not a good start for the league ... of course, 1-6
is fine with me if the 1 is us in El Paso. The Fiesta
hype is in full swing here and if I see Charlie Weis'
smug mug any more, I may be forced to find some
obscene hat with a miserable nut and weed on it to
counter the Doh!mers.
