I still have yet to see RW on any of the local TV stations...maybe newspaper or radio ads would drum up some sales.

The contrast to that is in Louisville which has Gator Bowl billboards
all over town. Not to mention numerous plugs on the telecast and
radiocast of Cardinal basketball games. Louisville does a great job of
marketing the Cards and not just to bowl games but day in and day out.
Granted, there are no pro teams to compete with but there are two state
universities which compete with the loyalties of the locals (that would
be Indiana and uh, well, that pro team in Lexington) for those who don't
know Louisville's geography. Not only are the coaches constantly in the
media, but so is the athletic director. It takes repitition and it
builds on itslef. You can't be there just when you're selling a bowl
game. It's hard to break the clutter of a wildely successful Bears
season if you haven't been doing it on a regular basis.

I wish I could be in El Paso, but I'll have to rely on you list friends
to cheer on the Cats for me.
Mark
