[NU Sports] PIGSKIN PICKS - Bowl Pool reminder

Just a reminder that the bowl games start this week,
so get your picks for the bowl pool in! All picks are
due by kickoff Tuesday in Lafayette of the New Orleans
Bowl. If there's a major incident at Texas or
elsewhere that causes a key player to miss a game,
re-picks before kickoff may be allowed, but for now
all picks due Tuesday.

My picks for the bowl pool and an entry form are
below. Hard to believe the season has zipped by so
quickly. Wish I could go to El Paso, but it's not
possible this year -- but the Cats are 0-3 in bowl
games I've attended and 1-0 in the one I have not, so
maybe that's good news!:) Have a blast in El Paso,
wear purple and bring back a BOWL WIN! GO CATS!!! And
go Big Ten!!!

masters at preparing for bowls and FSU has the home
edge ... but the Lions cap their near-dream season
with a rally and win

ROSE BOWL @ Pasadena, CA

Southern Cal vs. Texas                WINNER: 
SjT > USC ... big - Give Pete Carroll a month to
prepare and he'll have the defense ready, while the SC
offense will roll over Texas' defense even more than
ATM did. Plus the Trojans are home.

And off the board ...

SUN BOWL: NU 42, UCLA 38 - Should be a great game of
great offenses and porous defenses. Baz and the
seniors want this one and Sutton has a HUGE day to set
up next year's offense and the Cats build a big lead
... and hang on late.
