Per El Paso Times online, both schools are obligated to purchase a
minimum of 8,000 tickets, and the Monday after the game was announced represented
the highest sales of tickets EVER in the 72 years of Sun Bowl history.
Anyone know how NU sales are doing? I can't go, as sadly (?) I must
report that I'm leaving the cold of Pennsylvania in January in favor of a 7 day
Carribean cruise.
   Just thinking...
1) NU fans at bowls...Rose...60-70,000
2) Citrus...20,000 (?)
3) Alamo (I was there) ...15,000-20,000 (lot's of red!) (?)
4) Motor City (I was there)...10,000-15,000 (?)

Do these #'s sound right? I'm assuming the bowl execs know we travel well,
and I hope they know that our fan base is spread out much more than most
schools; hence the poor home attendance. I have my own thoughts on our low
attendance, which I deem as off-season fodder, but we all can hang our hat that when
were in a bowl, the bowl execs like us!

     GO CATS!!!!!!! Eric
