[NU Sports] Barnett

Hey, all--

Another interpretation might be he watched the game with Willard, who HAD
BEEN with him in Evanston (talking about the time when they both worked
there, not about the last few months). Implied that that they watched it on
TV...

Guess the sportswriter didn't have a father (or a professor?) who was a
stickler for correct grammar!  :-}

Wishful thinking, Frank, given Mike's conclusion that "either the Rocky
Mountain News writer got the facts VERY wrong, or someone made the story up
out of
thin air."

In any case, here's the link that Frank posted with his original post.

Frank accurately quoted from the column. Maybe the columnist meant that
Barnett watched the Michigan State game on television. Who knows? But Frank
Loomis,
one of the original contributors to this List Serve, doesn't deserve to have

his integrity questioned for making an "interesting and thought provoking
observation" which is "within the bounds of propriety".
