[NU Sports] The "Yellow Rose" Bowl

Fellow Wildcat Faithful,

We are going to win this bowl game. UCLA has a great offense and so do we. They
have a weak defense, and so do we. However, we have several things going in our
favor. 

1) Brett Basanez is the greatest QB in NU history (no offense to Otto Graham)
and he will find a way to go out on top.

2) We have several weeks to overhaul and heal our defense. 19 extra practices
(with no school work to think about) is a great opportunity to, as we say in
South, "Get 'er done". Given our ability to recruit LBs and little else, has
the occasional 3-5 look ever been considered? 

3) UCLA has nothing to gain here. If they beat Northwestern, well no big deal -
they were supposed to. On the other hand, winning a bowl game against a team
like UCLA (with what I expect will be a very large TV audience) will be a huge
statement for Northwestern's program. 

4) Walker needs this victory to quite his critics (myself included). 

NU must avenge the transfer of Eric Scott!!!
