I checked the 1998 (the last year Barnett was coach at
NU)Northwestern Football Media Guide. On page 42,
under Football Support Staff, Steve Willard was listed
as the Head Athletics Trainer. In his brief bio, the
Media Guide says Steve Willard joined NU in March 1994
after four years as associate athletics trainer at the
University of Colorado.
