He took over at left tackle for the Steelers mid-game last week against the 
Colts when Marvel Smith went down with an injury.  Unfortunately, that 
matched him against Dwight Freeney, so the results were not that great.  I 
remember him getting called for a couple of holding penalties trying to 
keep Freeney from Roethlisberger.  Oddly, Smith isn't on the Steeler's 
injured list this week.  And the only time I noticed Essex during the last 
five minutes of the Pittsburgh-Cincinnati game today (that's all we got to 
see here in Indy) was when he got called for holding again.
