[NU Sports] 2005 Predictions

At last night's NU Alumni Club of Greater NY Event with Mark Murphy, the AD  
was very supportive of Coach Walker.  He responded to a question as to  
whether he was "on the hot seat" by saying unequivocallly he was not.  He  was also 
supportive of Coach Carmody, but frankly, he seemed to emphasize that  last 
year was a disappointment.  I hope this is not the case, but if the  Hoops team 
doesn't have a good campaign it wouldn't surprise me to see a change  there 
before we see one in football.  However, I think one of Murphy's  strengths is 
consistency and taking a long view of things.  He doesn't seem  one to make a 
panic move or to rattle the cage (a la the Yankees "Boss") just  for effect.
