In the absence of good news about the Cats, I will share with you a 'State of
the Lions' report that I received today from a friend who went to PSU.
Evidentally, we are not the only ones having a miserable pre-season camp.

"Well, the good D you may have heard about out of PSU is getting worse and
worse each week.  Earlier this summer we lost one 2D DL to expulsion from
harrassing a girl. Then another 2D DL transferred back to his hometown in
Hawaii (go Rainbows, I guess), and today we find out that another 2D DL has
been suspended from the team because of grades, and he'll be out the entire
season.  That, and oh by the way, our starting MLB - a true SOPH - someone
who may likely be an All-American candidate in a year or two - is now
suspended indefinitely for making prank phone calls with a couple other
scrubs on the team.  That, and our only WR who caught more than 3 balls
last year (no joke....aside from Robinson whose now supposedly the starting
QB), and actually was pretty good, is out for the year with a broken
ankle.  There were already a ton of question marks coming into the season,
and the list keeps growing. Right now I'm predicting a 5-6 season at best.
So, looks like the losing streak to the Wildcats will continue this year."
