[NU Sports] Non-con scheduling

The question of non-conference football schedule is really moot for
anything like the near-term time frame, assuming Far East's info:

http://www.fareastwildcat.com/Schedule2004.html

is accurate. Things are set through 2009, and partially set out to
2013. Although there are perhaps too many familiar faces on the
upcoming slates, I'd say the schedules look just about right to me.

Overall, I'd say the 2005 slate looks a little easier than 2004 (not
easy, mind you, but easier).

Personally, I liked this year's non-con schedule. Although TCU ended up
having a tough year, TCU, ASU, and Kansas were all perfectly
respectable, challenging, mid-level opponents. The Cats easily could
have won all 3 games. A couple breaks go our way in those first two
games, and the Hawaii game would have just been an unfortunate bump in
a bowl-bound road.

Never seen anything like this year. I probably said this before, but if
you changed the outcome of just one or two plays per game, we could
*easily* be 9 and 3. Or 0 and 12.
