For those of you who are interested in the new "Hail to Purple" CD, ordering 
instructions appear below.  In addition to the mail-in orders described below, 
we also hope to have online ordering capability set up within the next two 
weeks.  We'll let you know when this is up and running.

Northwestern University "Wildcat" Marching Band  

The NUMBALUMS have released a new CD entitled "Hail to Purple."  This CD is a 
50-year retrospective of the very best recordings from the NU Marching Band 
archives.  The performances and sound quality are outstanding.  Many of the 
selections are unpublished, and unique to Northwestern.  We have included 
numerous live performances and a great deal of previously unreleased material.  The 
CD is over 70 minutes in length.  We have also included an extensive, 30-page 
booklet highlighting the history of the Northwestern University "Wildcat" 
Marching Band. 
 
In short:    anyone who bleeds purple is going to LOVE this CD! 
 
 
HOW TO ORDER: 
 
The cost of each CD is $16.  Shipping/handling is $4 in the continental US, 
and $5 elsewhere for each shipment to the same address, no matter how many CDs 
you order.  
 
To order, send a letter indicating how many CDs you would like to purchase, 
be sure to add the appropriate shipping fee, and include a check payable to:   
"Northwestern University - NUMBALUMS".  Be sure to print or type your shipping 
address CLEARLY in your letter.

You can also purchase copies directly from local Evanston retailers such as 
Let's Tailgate and the Norris Bookstore.  The CD can also be purchased at the 
front desk of the Alumni Association during normal working hours. 
 
If it seems like we're proud of this CD, well, we are.  It's an incredible 
testament to the quality and virtuosity of the NU Marching Band over the last 50 
years.  Best of all, NUMBALUMS donations have paid for nearly all of the 
production cost of the CD, so all revenues will be used by the NUMBALUMS for 
special projects that benefit the NU bands.
