[NU Sports] Irked

Yeah ... that's what irks me, too. Kind of like ESPN's wrapup show on
Saturday, not even showing a highlight or score (Backes' return?) to
mention that we might be bowl eligible if we beat Hawaii.

It's not surprising ... or even biased ... just good at ticking NU fans
off! I guess they'd gone so long with NU as 0-11 or 1-10 that they just
don't see us as a team to follow or bother with.

And the Minnesota analagy's not quite there because here we have two teams
that finished 4-4 chosen ahead of an NU team that they LOST to -- whereas
with Minnesota, we're 5-3 and they're 3-5. It's not really a head-to-head
thing there.

But yeah -- just a mention that the committee chose OSU or Purdue despite
NU having a better record and having BEATEN them would be nice!:)

I would say that the Music City not naming Minnesota along with the other
Big Ten bowls makes it pretty much a certainty that IF we can win at
Hawaii, we're headed to Nashville. And while San Antonio was great,
Nashville's a drive away instead of a flight.:) So that's a lot to play for
Saturday!
