<<The NCAA already permits schools to count a win against a I-AA school in their six wins, though they can only do so once every four years.>>
That's right. From what I remember reading, the issue is that, with Iowa State now 6-4, they might lose to Mizzou and still (somehow) make it to the Dr. Pepper Classic, where, if they lose to Oklahoma, they would be 6-6. I guess Colorado would have to lose to Nebraska, and ISU would go because they beat Nebraska earlier this year. Is that right?
And true, ISU beat NIU earlier in the year AT Ames (for what that's worth). <smile> Maybe I should have used Toledo as an example.
The gist of my (half-hearted) beef is the big conferences bending the rules at the expense of smaller schools. Now, if the rules weren't there to begin with, or if the rules were different to begin with, I might see it differently. I just don't like that rules apply to some and MAY apply to others "at their convenience."
And again, I don't think you should go bowling without at LEAST a winning record, even in 12-game seasons like last year, when teams with winning records stay at home (sorry to say).
