[NU Sports] Overconfidence? (used to be Purdue to Sun Bowl)

Roy,
Thanks for bringing this bowl discussion back into perspective.
All of this bowl talk assumes that Hawaii is going to give us the win
for just showing up.
I would like to hear a little more about his team and what the match-ups
look like, and a little less about all the fun we're going to have when
we win.
From what little I've read Hawaii has the ability to just shred
defensive secondaries. Combine that with the fact that NU did not have
a good game last week, the significant changes in climate and time zone,
and NU's tendency to play to the level of the competition. This hardly
looks like a gimme. And even if it was a gimme on paper, how many gimme
wins did NU get this year?
Hopefully the football team is a little more focused than the fans and
media, otherwise perhaps we are going to be the ones petitioning for
bowl consideration with a 6-6 record.
