[NU Sports] Academic matchups in past bowls

I am in no way a U$C supporter but the school realized it had a PR problem a 
few years ago and significantly tightened its admissions requirements.  In 
1983 when I was applying to colleges SC published that its median GPA for 
freshmen was 2.9.  Two years ago my neighbors here in the Bay Area had their son 
turned down with a 3.5 from a prestigious Boy's prep school.

SC figured that if they lowered their admit rate both the school's reputation 
and ranking would go up.  I think their party boy, blonde bimbo, daddy's 
money can buy me anything reputation will remain for at least a few more 
generations.

I will give them one bit of credit.  Their old boy network of alums helping 
alums isn't too far off Harvard, etc., and light years beyond where NU is at 
the moment.
