[NU Sports] Where shall we bowl?

On the media...

NU does get covered very well by the local newspapers - they all have a beat
writer assigned and they do file as many stories about the Wildcats as any other
Div I team located in an NFL/NBA/MLB Town.

What is missing is the wall-to-wall TV coverage Div I Teams in non-pro sports
town get. The Sooners get phenomenal coverage every day because they don't have
a pro team to provide distractions. Nebraska is the same because there's nothing
else.

In Chicago, the 10 minutes of sports has to cover two major league baseball
teams, a pro football team and a pro basketball team. Do the math, there isn't
much time left for NU, especially when you figure that both Illinois and N****
D*** also have very large alumni bases in Chicago.

When SMU had the pony-express running, you could barely find coverage outside of
Sunday after a game in the Dallas and Fort Worth media. They had the Cowboys
playing at the same time, and the Ponies just couldn't break thru.

If NU was out in Peoria or in Davenport, we'd get more press. Really!

Besides, NU has Purple Reign!
