The seventh game is a good question . The alliances will be up for grabs in
a number of bowls after this year and the year after as contracts roll out
and the effect of the ACC raid on the Big East is felt. Houston tried hard
to become the fifth BCS game and sees itself as far more than a lower tier
bowl. With Reliant Stadium and a lot of money to throw around, I can see
that bowl moving up the food chain considerably. The only question will be
what conferences they decide to hitch up with. Holiday would be great: I've
always thought San Diego was one of the great places to visit and you're
right about needing a new Pac 10 match-up.
Bowl machinations over the next couple of months may get to be almost as
much fun to watch as the conference commissioners trying to figure out how
to replace the AP poll for next year's BCS standings.
Happy New Year to all
GO Cards (sorry, I couldn't resist)

I wonder where we would go for a seventh game ... if the Big XII moves in
on the Sun, would we swap with their lower tier bowls? Houston? Shreveport?
