Sorry to keep y'all in suspense. The bowl pool should be online by the end
of the weekend. So there'll be one last chance for everyone to get into the
hall of fame.
A full list of this year's inductees and an updated Hall of Fame is at the
end of the standings ... but first, a congratulations to Marilyn Zilka for
emerging victorious in a Cardiac Cats-like finish for this year's Matt
Hartl Award for overall picks champion. Also, she did it with the second
highest percentage in Pigskin Picks history.
Chuck was attempting to become the first three-time champ in picks history
and was deadlocked with Marilyn heading into the final week. Both missed
our one upset special of the week (Va Tech over Miami) ... and Chuck
dropped Thursday night's MAC title game, picking Miami. Which meant that
the title came down to the late game in Hawaii for a tie or a solo champ.
Those darn Hawaii refs!:)
But it was a great race this season ... Chuck was an early leader, but
these two have been pretty much deadlocked since the end of October.
Congrats to both players on a fine season and hope to see everyone back
here (and more) for the bowl pool and year NINE next fall. Thanks! To the
big board one last time ...
