To partially answer my own question, here are ticket prices for this
year:

6 games, if purchased individually: $220 (avg. = $36.67)

6 games, season ticket price: $170 (avg. = $28.33)

So, a big discount for season ticket purchasers (thankfully), but a
pretty steep hit ($40 for a Big Ten game) for anyone purchasing a
single-game ticket. Add handling charges to the above if ordered ahead
of time.

Note: NU did offer 1/2 endzone seats this year ($15 non-con, $20 Big
Ten game)--the averages above do not include those. It's a good diea,
but personally I'd recommend they sell the end-zone seats for $5 or $10
max a game. There were also some 3 pack options that gave a slight
discount on a set of three games. 

Too much? I don't know, but it's a lot.
