The question nobody has ever answered to my satisfaction is why use the
computers at all except to resolve inconsistencies in the AP and USAT
polls.  Those polls agree on #'s 1 through 4, why not let that stand?

A four team playoff would be interesting this year.  USC vs Utah (the
Rose Bowl is the natural venue, I suppose) and Auburn vs Oklahoma in the 
Sugar Bowl.  Let the winners duke it out somewhere (Miami is fine with me) 
two weeks later.  I predict it would still be USC vs Oklahoma.

This year there is a rather high possibility of their being FOUR
undefeated teams after the dust settles.  Back to back split NC's
would be ironic, but I don't think it'll happen.

Based on what I saw yesterday, I'd say Oklahoma by about 20 over USC
in the battle of the annoying bands.  I plan to watch with the sound off.
