What a horror!  I almost feel worse for the Cal team and its coach and fans 
than I did after we were knocked out of bowl eligibility.  The Rose Bowl is now 
the Thorn Bowl in my book.  I have always hated the Longhorns (even more so 
since Texas is now running the country.  Sorry for my political editorializing, 
but The Lonestar State ain't exactly my favorite of the 50.), and they simply 
don't belong in Pasadena.  Cal damn near beat USC and deserves to go to their 
home bowl as PAC-10 runners-up.  Jeff Tedford is a class act, as he announced 
beforehand that he would not try to run up the score and he followed through. 
 How many other coaches would do likewise in that situation?    This system 
is beyond disgraceful.  The BCS apparently stands for "Boy Can they Screw it 
up.  

I have no interest anymore in the bowls this year.  How many others feel 
likewise?
