While a number of schools have raised concerns about what is being
said about recruits on the Internet, I do not know of a single case
in which it can be reliably said that those comments actually affected 
the recruit's decision.

Let's face it, recruits likely to be on NU's wish list are probably
going to be more net-aware than we are.

Hopefully they learned a long time ago that not everbody on the net
will say nice things about them, for whatever reasons.  And the
fans of other schools will be just as bad, if not worse, so I suspect
any negative impressions they get of schools will cancel each other out.

If they think what they're hearing now is bad, wait until the fans at 
their chosen school start projecting their overwrought expectations onto 
those players' on-the-field performance!  

What's said here is very tame compared to some other online forums
and usually better written and more analytical, too.

(I was browsing a few N*D* forums the other day, there's a LOT of 
shouting going on there, and much of it isn't very polite.)
