[NU Sports] ND action

Well, one more thought, and let me stress that I am not trying to be difficult nor am I a secret Irish fan. Hardly.
Meyer has succeeded at Utah with a quarterback who graduated in three years; who is bright, personable; and who stands a chance of playing on Sundays.
If he can recruit that kind of young man to Salt Lake City, I have little doubt he can recruit to South Bend.
Utah, by the way, is an excellent academic institution -- more so than most people think. I spent considerable time there before and during the SLC 2002 Olympics, and the University of Utah is a first-rate place. But, and this is stating the obvious, it doesn't have an ND fb pedigree.

As someone pointed out on the NU Rivals site no one really knows if
Meyer can recruit to the level ND wants. As ESPN pointed out ND has to
change and actually recruit rather than expecting ND's reputation to
sell itself. Meyer has succeeded at BG and Utah with a lot of JC
recruits-which ND doesn't accept.
I do not believe ND is the Valhalla of college football anymore.
